History
Faded Decade was founded in 2014 by Rome (Jeremy Trout), Dedd (Dedrick Linton), and Ciz (David Clark). Shortly after graduating high school, Dedd and Ciz began to break into the music industry with the release of Dedd’s first mixtape, Third Place, with Ciz acting as manager. At the same time, Rome was quietly developing the foundation and branding for Faded Decade.
Later that year, the three reconnected and immediately began merging music and streetwear into a single creative vision. On September 8, 2014, Faded Decade released its first collection of t-shirts, which sold out quickly and set the tone for what was to come.
Over the next two years, the brand gained momentum through consistent releases of music, clothing, and pop-up events held at a creative space known as The Barn. These early years helped establish Faded Decade as more than a brand; it became a community and a platform for creativity and above all freedom from the status quo.
On January 20, 2017, Faded Decade opened its first storefront at 1213 University Avenue in Huntsville, Texas. The brand flourished in the college town, building strong connections with students and organizations at Sam Houston State University.
After just over two years, Faded Decade outgrew its Huntsville location and set its sights on a larger stage. In the summer of 2019, the team relocated to 1310 Nance Street in the Warehouse District of Downtown Houston, Texas, where the shop officially opened on August 23, 2019. The brand is currently based at this location, with plans for expansion in the coming years. Stay Tuned.
